Description
In the book of Revelation, God, through the apostle John, reveals a beautiful prophecy of the church dressed as a bride, ready for the marriage of the Lamb and the great wedding celebration. Soon, our torn garments of mourning will be changed for wedding garments made of fine linen, bright and clean. We’re told this fine linen is “the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:8). God makes us pure through Jesus, His Son, and clothes us in His righteousness. But we also have a part in how we’re clothed when we come to the wedding feast.
God doesn’t just ask us to trust in Him for the cleansing of our sins and to be content with our own salvation; He wants us to do something with our new hearts. And these deeds will show up as threads in our wedding clothes.
Her message is so spiritual rich it needs a Bible Study to accompany it.
She beautifully demonstrates how “tremendously personal to you and to Him” this holy garment will be when Christ dresses you in it. She teaches how we participate (“[she] has made herself ready,” Revelation 19:7) in the transformation of our spiritually torn hearts into holy wedding garments worthy of our union with the holy Lamb of God.
